v.1.0.0
There are six different ways you can share your goodiepack. These six options will be described in this article.
Note: Your goodiepack has to be active before you can share it. You choose when your goodiepack is active from in the field Activation date which you can find by clicking on 1. This goodiepack at the top of the goodiepack designer.
Step 1 - Go to ‘3. Share’
To share your goodiepack you have to click on 3. Share in the menu at the top of the goodiepack designer.
Step 2 - Create public link
First of you have to create a public link for your goodiepack. You do that by filling in the field below Create public link. What you type in here should have relation to your company name so the user can recognize it. Make sure to make the link shout and easy to read for your guests.
When you’ve filled in the field click on Save.
The six different sharing options will now be described.
Sharing option 1 - Via direct link
You can share your goodiepack via a direct link the guest can insert in an internet browser and thereby gain access to the goodiepack. to share your goodiepack this way you have to copy the link for the goodiepack. You do that by clicking Copy to the right of the link to your goodiepack.
Sharing option 2 - Via QR code
Note: If you create a new link for your goodiepack you must remember to create a new QR code so the guest will receive the newest version of the goodiepack via the QR code.
Step 1 - Click ‘QR code’
To share via QR code you first have to click on the button QR code to the right of the link to the goodiepack.
Step 2 - See and download QR code
You’re now seeing a pop up window with the QR code for your goodiepack. Here you can click on Download if you want to print the QR code and give the guest fst access to your goodiepack by just scanning the QR code with the camera on their phone. Most phones can scanne a QR code via the camera without needing a specific app.
Sharing option 3 - Share public link to individuals (via SMS)
Note: Be aware that this sharing option does NOT save the guest’s phone number in the overview of texts that have been sent. The phone number will appear as “hidden”.
Step 1 - Name the sender of the text
First you have to scroll down to the box Share public link to individuals.
Here, you’ll first have to write who the text is from. You write this in the field below From and what you write here will appear as the sender of the text on the recipient’s phone. The sender should be known to the recipient so you can for example use the company name or the name of the place the guest is visiting.
Step 2 - Write text
Then you’ll have to write the text that’s being sent to the guest. You write the text in the text field below Text. The link to the goodiepack will automatically be added in the end of the text and you can therefore advantageously end your text with a colon. Above the text field you can see how many characters you have left. If you exceed this number the text will fill two text messages and you’ll then have to pay double SMS rate.
Tip: It’s a good idea to make the text more personal by inserting the name of the guest in the test so it for example says “Dear Line”. You can do this by writing the following in the text field:
Dear %{customer.firstname, “guest”}
If the guest’s first name is unknown the system will automatically write “Dear guest” instead.
Step 3 - Save
When you’re done filling in the sender and text you have to click on Save.
Step 4 - Share goodiepack
The last thing is to write the phone number of the guest in the field below To.
Then you have to click on Send GoodiePack.
Step 5 - Open sharing function in new window
It is also possible to open the sharing function in a new window. You do that by clicking on Open in new window.
This could be used, for example, if you have an iPad or something similar standing in a place where your co-workers or guests can type in their phone numbers themselves and thereby have the goodiepack sent to them via text.
Note: Your logo will appear where the GoodiePack logo appears in the picture above.
Sharing option 4 - Share with personal link (via SMS)
When using this sharing option the same From and Text that has been filled out in the box Share public link to individuals is used.
Note: Be aware that when using this sharing option the guest’s phone number will be saved whereby it is possible to track the guest’s use of the goodiepack.
Step 1 - Fill in the guest’s phone number
You share the goodiepack through this method by typing in the guest’s phone number in the field below Phone number in the box Share with a personal link.
Step 2 - Send goodiepack
When you’ve filled in the guest’s phone number you click on Send GoodiePack under the field in which you’ve filled in the phone number.
Step 3 - Open sharing funktion in new window
It is also possible to open the sharing function in a new window by clicking Open in new window.
You could use this, for example, if you have an iPad or something similar standing in a place where your co-workers or guests can fill in their phone number themselves and thereby have the goodiepack sent via SMS.
Note: Your logo will be shown where the GoodiePack logo is shown in the picture above.
Sharing option 5 - By list
It is also possible for you to share via a list if you already know beforehand who’s going to receive your goodiepack and you have contact information on these guests.
Step 1 - Name the sender of the text
Go to Share personal link by list.
Here you’ll first have to name who the text is coming from which will appear as the sender of the text on the guest’s phone. You write the name you want to have as sender of the text in the text field below From. The sender should be well known to the recipient så you could for example use the company name or the name of the place the guest is visiting
Step 2 - Write text
Then you have to write the text that is being sent to the guest. You have to write this text in the field below Text. The link to your goodiepack will automatically be added at the end of the text so it’s a good idea to end your text with a colon. Above the field Text you can see how many characters you have left. If you exceed this number of characters your text will fill two text messages and you’ll then have to pay double SMS rate.
Tip: It’s a good idea to make the xt more personal by inserting the name of the guest so the text for example says “Dear Line”. You can do this by typing in the following in the text field:
Dear %{customer.firstname, “guest”}
If the first name of the guest is unknown then the system automatically writes “Dear guest” instead. There are also other possibilities to dynamically change the text with interpolations and you can read more about this by clicking the icon to the right of Text.
Step 3 - Save
When you’re done filling in the sender and text you have to click on Save.
Step 4 - Choose delivery time
You now have to choose when the goodiepack is going to be delivered. You do so by clicking on the field below Share at after which you can choose the desired date and time.
Step 5 - Choose list of recipients
Afterwards you have to choose the list that contains the guests who are going to receive the goodiepack. You do that below To.
Before you can send out the goodiepack you must have uploaded the list with contact information on the guests. You do that by clicking Administrate and create lists.
Otherwise you can also click on Setup and then Customer lists in the side menu on the left.
In this article you can read more about how to create a list.
Step 6 - Choose how the goodiepack should be delivered
Then you have to choose whether the goodiepack should be Send via SMS or if it should be Resend. You check the box to the left of Resend if you want for your guests to receive the goodiepack even though they’ve already received the goodiepack at an earlier time. By checking the box ALL the guests on the chosen list will receive the goodiepack. You could use this, for example, if you’ve made some important changes in the goodiepack that you want to make sure the guests see. In this case you can write a new text that says that the guests have to check the changes in the goodiepack.
If you do not check this box it’ll only be NEW guests who haven’t received the goodiepack previously that’ll receive it.
Step 7 - Share goodiepack
Then you’ll have to click on Share.
Then a pop up will appear and ask if you’re sure. Click OK.
The guests on the chosen list will receive the goodiepack at the time of delivery you have chosen. At the bottom of the page you can see an overview of your deliveries. Here you can see a status of each delivery as well as delete the deliveries.
Sharing option 6 - SMS keyword
Ask support for setting up a number.
Note: If you make any changes in the goodiepack after you’ve delivered it to your guests the changes will automatically be updated with the guest without you having to deliver the goodiepack again.
