How to design a folder goodie
v.1.0.0
Note: In order to create a folder goodie you must first create the goodies you want to be included in the folder and then afterwards create the folder. If you make new goodies after you’ve created the folder they can still be added to the folder. You can see how to do that at the bottom of this page.
Step 1 – Go to ‘2. Add goodies’
To create a folder goodie you must first click 2. Add goodies at the top of the goodiepack designer.
Step 2 - Add a goodie
Then you scroll down to the bottom of the overview of the goodies in the goodiepack and click on Add a goodie.
Step 3 - Create a new goodie and choose ‘Folder’
You are then met the opportunity to either create a new goodie or choose among your existing goodies. Click on New.
Then you’ll see an overview of the different types of goodies you can create. Click Folder.
Step 4 - Choose the desired goodies for the folder
It’s now time for you to design the content of the folder goodie. This happens in two steps of which the first is called 1. Reference. You are at this step now and here you have to fill out all relevant fields.
First off, you have to choose the goodies you want to include in the folder goodie. To do this you just check the boxes to the right of the goodies you want to include in the folder.
The goodies you add to the folder will only be shown when the guest click on the folder goodie in the goodiepack. Thereby, the goodies in the folder goodie will not be shown on the frontpage of the goodiepack.
Step 5 - Activate map
Then you can choose to activate a map that will be shown at the top of the folder goodie. This map will show the addresses of the goodies within the folder. If you want to activate the map simply just check the box to the right of Activate map.
Then click Create and continue.
Step 6 - Finish the design of the goodie
You have now reached the second and final step called 2. Content where you have to fill out all relevant fields. Although, as a minimum you have to fill out the following fields:
- Image
- Titel
The rest of the fields are optional but you should deal with them since they can help make the goodie better and more interesting for those who use the goodiepack.
Step 7 - Upload image
The first thing you need to do is to upload an image to your goodie. The image you choose should visualize what the goodie is about. Thereby, it will be easier and faster for the guest to see what the different goodies contain.
To upload an image to the goodie, click on the circle with the text Click to upload new image.
Then you’ll have the opportunity to either upload a new image or choose an existing image.
When you have chosen an image for the goodie you can adjust which part of the picture you want to include in the goodie. When you’re happy with the image, click Accept.
Step 8 - Add a title to the goodie
Then it’s time to add a title to the goodie. To add a title, click on the text field to the right of Titel and type in an appropriate title that is short and exact. This field also supports interpolation and you can find more information about this by clicking on the icon to the left of Titel.
Step 9 - Add a subtitle
You can then add a subtitle that can elaborate on the title and make the goodie more interesting so the guests click on it. You add a subtitle to the goodie by clicking on the text field to the right of Subtitle and then write an appropriate subtitle that is short and exact.
Step 10 - Make an offer tag
You also have the opportunity to add an offer tag to your goodie. It doesn’t have to be an actual offer you write here but it can also just be something about the goodie you wish to highlight. This could for example be a date, place time or something else. To add an offer tag to your goodie you must fill out the text field to the right of Offer tag. The text you write in this text field should be short and specific.
Whatever you write in this text field will be shown on top of the picture of the goodie. You can see an example of it down below.
Step 11 - Add a description
Afterwards, you can add a description to your goodie by filling out the text field to the right of Description. The description should contain relevant information about for example where, when and how the guest uses the goodie.
Note: It is NOT a demand to have a description in a folder goodie.
If you click on the A to the left of Description you can find information on how to style the text in the description. Among other things, it is possible for you to make the text bold or italic, add a link, make bullet points and numbering as well as color the text.
If you add a description to your folder goodie it’ll be shown below the title of the folder when the guest clicks on the folder goodie in the goodiepack. You can see an example of this down below:
Step 13 - Marketing
Then you have to state whether this goodie contains marketing or not. If the goodie does contain marketing you select Yes in the dropdown menu and if the goodie does NOT contain marketing you select No.
If you have stated in the setting of the goodiepack that you do NOT have permission to send marketing to your guests, a lock will be shown on top of the goodie. Thereby, the gusts will have to actively click on the lock and give their permission to receive marketing before they can see the content of the goodie.
If you state that this goodie does not contain any marketing the goodie will be shown as usual and without any lock on top of ot.
Step 14 - Settings
To the right of Settings you can click Show settings.
Then you’ll have the opportunity to set how often it is possible to use this goodie. You can set the goodie to be used x number of times per GoodiePack, hour, day, week or month.
For example, you can choose that it is possible to use the goodie 3 times per week. In this case, you write 3 in the upper field, 1 in the lower field and choose week in the dropdown menu.
You also have the opportunity to set a total number of times this goodie can be used across all the times this goodiepack has been shared. To do this, fill out the desired number in the field to the left of times in total.
If you do not fill out anything in these fields the goodie can be used again and again without limitations.
Step 15 - Save
When you’re done filling out the fields on the page, click Save at the bottom of the page to finish the creation of your folder goodie.
Extra: Add new goodies after you’ve created the folder goodie
